A rich 3-day tour of the most picturesque area of Ladoga skerries .
We can enjoy the beauty of quiet Ladoga bays with steep rocks and crystal clear water, as well as the grandeur of the open Ladoga, to be impressed by the endless expanse of water surface, we will also visit the famous sandy beach of Koyonsaari Island, which has no equal in the north of Russia!

Day 1
Our day starts on Friday at 1:00-4:00 p.m. in the traditional place – MegaParnass in the parking lot. We group together and go northwards along highway A-121 (“Sortavala”) to the village of Terva, where our start is.
On a comfortable pier at the water itself we pack our things in kayaks and go down to the water!
The route of the first day is not burdensome, it will take about 1-3 hours: we will go around Koyonsaari island and go to Lauvatsaari island.
We will spend the night on a cozy island with magnificent views of Ladoga on one side and the inner skerries on the other.
At a delicious dinner we will have a great opportunity for ……..? After all, a close-knit group is so important on a hike!
Day 2
This day we will have a longer route that will allow us to enjoy the beauty of Ladoga skerries more than ever. The day will be surrounded by steep rocks, beautiful bays and beautiful pebble and sandy beaches, one of which will be waiting for us a hearty lunch.
Our route will lie between the picturesque islands of Mukrimüksensari and Harjuçaari, further on the islands of Kotatsaari, Ihamielensaaoi and Savisalonsaari, and in the Helmalänselkä bay we may have a surprise – this bay is a favorite resting place of Ladoga seal. She is very curious and when meeting people can swim close enough, so be careful and do not miss the opportunity to see this sweet creature, if any.
The advantage of this day’s route is that it is built between islands, so no Ladoga wind will interfere with our movement, on the contrary, we can enjoy the proud silence and calmness of the north of Ladoga.
On one of the inner islands, we will stay overnight.
Any “amateur activity” is welcome from the participants!
Day 3
The final day of our journey will also be very busy! We are sure that the open Ladoga will greet us with hospitable weather and absence of wind and will allow us to pass the open part of it back to Koyonsaari Island. The endless Ladoga distance is fascinating, the sails on the horizon periodically approach and pass by, seagulls and cormorants always accompany groups of tourists on their way. This is a real little sea voyage of 4-5 hours! It is in this period of time that we will see the long sandy beach of Koyonsaari, beckoning with the gentle surf and stunning views. we are headed there so that we can soak in the soft sand and enjoy the sound of the surf. We are sure that after this stop, you will want to come back here again, and not for an hour or two, but for a few days!
By evening, we will have finished our route with a short walk to the starting point. Here, tired but full of impressions, we head back.
